Zwolle, Louisiana is situated right in the heart of Toledo Bend Country. The 186,000-acre man-made Toledo Bend Reservoir was created in the 1960s when voters in Louisiana and Texas overwhelmingly approved the Toledo Bend Project at the polls. The waters of the mighty Sabine River were dammed, creating the magnificent reservoir, and the rest is history.

Toledo Bend has become a nationally-recognized recreation mecca, and is home to some of the best fishing, boating, and golfing anywhere!
