"No words can express how honored I have been to be able to have served my hometown as the 7th annual Zwolle Loggers and Forestry Festival Queen. I will forever hold this festival dear to my heart. I say that not because I was queen, but because of what it stands for. Coming from a logging family, I know first hand what every logger must endure just to feed their family. Many people don't realize how time-consuming and expensive it is just running a logging business. Logging definitely isn't all fun and games. Ask any logger and I'm sure they can testify to that. Whether you own your business or are employed in the timber industry, you know what it takes to put the paper in our hands and the roofs over our heads.

    Being that I was able to serve as the queen this year, I received the opportunity to promote this great festival and very important industry. I traveled all over the state and met many new people while representing the Loggers and Forestry Festival.  It was an experience that I will never forget.

    It is with great sadness that my reign must come to an end. Throughout the past year I traveled over 3,600 miles and participated in 40 events, including festivals and serving as mistress of ceremonies for numerous pageants.

    All of this would not have been possible it wasn't for some very special people. The first big thanks go out to my parents for being the biggest supporters of me during my reign. Whatever I needed, you were more than will to give it.

    Ladies and gentlemen, farewell, I will never forget this opportunity I had. I leave you with the words I found on a bumper sticker, "If you're against logging, try using plastic toilet paper!""
