2004 Zwolle Loggers and Forestry Festival Queen Heather Mitchell

On April 10, 2004, Tiffani Mitchell, the 2003 Zwolle Loggers and Forestry Festival Queen crowned a new Queen. The 2004 Queen is Heather Mitchell, Tiffani's sister. Heather is the 17 year old daughter of Lamar and Lynette Mitchell. Heather has one brother, Blake and two sisters, Tiffani and Haley. Heather is a senior at Negreet High School. She plays on the Lady Indian Basketball, softball, and track. Heather isn very active at Negreet. Her clubs include 4-H, Beta, FCA, Character Counts, FBLA, GPA, Student Government and Quiz Bowl. She is the president of her senior class and holds position as Parlimentarian in the Sabine Parish Jr. Leader Club, secretary for 4-H and FBLA. She is on the yearbook staff and a member of the National Honor Society.

Heather has many accomplishments. They include, Who's Who Among American High School Students, Presidents Outstanding Academic Excellents Award, Student of the Year, Honesty and Integrity Award, Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Award, US Achievement Academy Award for English, US Achievement Academy Award for History, and an NSU Trailblazer Participant.

She has held several titles. They include 2001 Negreet Miss Merry Christmas, 2002-03 Teen Miss Sabine Freestate, 3rd runner up to the Louisiana National American Miss plus the Nation American Miss Spirit Award. This year Heather was crowned Negreet Homecoming Queen. She
was voted Miss NHS, Most Likely to Succeed, Best All Around, and Friendlest. Heather will be the Valdictorian of her graduating class May 12, 2005. She plans to attend NSU to earn a degree in the Medical Field. Heather enjoys participating in her various clubs, playing sports, traveling, and entering pageants.

She is also involved in the youth group at Oak Hill Baptist Church. She has traveled to numerous pageants and festivals during her reign. They include, Mudbug Maddness in Shreveport, Bunkie Corn Festival, Gueydan Duck Festival, International Rice Festival in Crowley, Natchitoches Meat Pie Festival, Robeline Heritage Festival, and the Colfax Pecan Festival Pageant. The local pageant and festivals include Fisher Sawmill Days, Zwolle Tamale Festival and the Sabine Freestate Pageant. Heather is looking forward to traveling to many more pageants in the future. She is making plans to participate in the Queen of Queens pageant in Baton Rouge in February.
